Dr. Tracey Ford is an experienced private voice teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience teaching classical and musical theater styles.  She has been teaching full-time for the past 10 years and runs a successful private studio in Western Springs, Illinois. Originally from Michigan, Tracey started her studies in liberal arts and earned her B.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of Michigan. She completed her M.M. and D.M.A. in Vocal Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Her performing credits span opera, oratorio, recital and musical theater.  She has performed with Chamber Opera Chicago and Sinfonietta Bel Canto,  performed as a soloist at the International Benjamin Britten Symposium at Illinois State University in 2013. She has been the featured soloist in the Brahms' Requiem and Mendelssohn's Elijah and performance highlights include roles in Gianni Schicchi, The Merry Widow, Hansel and Gretel, L'heure EspagñoleI Capuleti ed I MontecchiDie Zauberflöte, GallantryThe Fairy Queen, L'Incoronazione di Poppea and Suor Angelica. She collaborates with organist, Johnny Kash presenting organ and voice recitals throughout the Midwest and performed recitals in Europe in 2007 (Poland, Sweden and Denmark).  Dr. Ford is an adjunct faculty member of Joliet Junior College (Applied Voice) and College of Du Page (Humanities). As a liturgical music minister she leads as a cantor and section leader at St. John of the Cross in Western Springs.
